what feels simple and doable for the longterm

So that means if it sounds unsustainable, you hate any part of it or you feel like this perfect plan will only be doable until the weekend rolls around -- think twice about even starting it...

In the Real Strong Coaching Club, we DO NOT DIET! We create a lifestyle around food and fitness that fits in our real-life so that we can get the results we want to see without having to white-knuckle our way through hunger, cravings, low energy, and long-drawn-out workouts.

We do this by focusing on the BASICS. These are the things that will help us lose weight, get strong, and see RESULTS no matter what time of year it is, how busy we are, or whether or not we FEEL motivated! This means -- NO BS!

This is exactly how I fill my plate at every meal:

This is exactly how I fill my plate at every meal:

I decide what protein I am going to eat.
Then I add a veggie.
Then I add a starchy carb.

We call this the Real Strong Plate.

This week my super simple plan looked like this:

Air fried pork chops + salad + rice
Sloppy Joes, salad, sweet potato
Chicken + veggie soup + beer bread
Salad w/chicken + slice pizza

What do you do when you are ❌ NOT motivated to workout?

1. Rely on habits - schedule the day, time, and location of your workouts and make them non-negotiable. This will build consistency.

2. Tell someone else. Tell your hubby, your kids, or your best friend. Tell them this is important to you and that they can call you out. Or better yet.. find a reliable workout buddy.

3. Do it anyway. Give it 5 minutes. Even if you absolutely DO NOT want to exercise. Start!!! Once you start - give it 5 minutes - if you still want to quit.. OK! But most likely after 5 minutes you will be pumped to keep going!

It's just past midweek - Monday we were great, Tuesday we were good, Wednesday we were ok and now it's Thursday…

Don't quit..

We all struggle with consistency and being on point at the beginning of the week only to loosen the reigns as the week goes on and then by the weekend unfortunately we often completely let go only to start over yet again on Monday.

It can help if we look at our day and our week with an 80/20 perspective when it comes to our food and our exercise.

80% of the time we fuel our bodies with nutritious lean meats and Whole Foods and we are on point with our exercise routine, staying active and moving our bodies. The other 20% of the time we indulge in foods we love as we please and give ourselves the rest our bodies need.

We don't have to be perfect 100% of the time. We can be on point just 80% of the time right?? Let's make it about balance and moderation everyday.

This week can be different. We can easily be ON every day following this 80/20 concept.
